“Sustainability Champions have volunteered to take on an additional role promoting awareness of sustainability issues amongst their student peers to encourage environmental action. They work with Association staff to raise awareness of opportunities to engage with sustainability across the University and the city.“
I became a Sustainability Champion as I believe we should all strive to be as sustainable as possible and look after our planet as best we can.
I’ve always had a passion for the subject, instilled in me by my family, but my knowledge was limited. Over the last year, I’ve had the privilege of working with other passionate individuals to put together events and resources for our community and expand my knowledge in the areas of sustainability that interest me most.
This experience provided me with wonderful opportunities to learn about and connect with passionate sustainability-focused people and organizations from around Dundee and beyond.
My journey as a Sustainability Champion this year has left a lasting impression on me. So, to anyone interested in becoming more sustainable and supporting other students in doing the same, then I implore you to sign up as a Sustainability Champion and put in the effort to make a difference.
